Day 5: Being piarists

PYM Day 5 – We Grow Together as Piarists

What makes a Piarist a Piarist? Today, we searched for the answer together in the catechesis of Fr. Jacek Wolan. As the final teaching of the week, it invited us to discover that the Calasanctian charism is always more than what we see at first glance. School, community, pastoral work, service, volunteering, friendship—these are all part of the same mission in which we grow together and make Christ present in the world.

After the small group discussions, the afternoon was all about preparing for the Light of Night: the youth got ready for the city-mission adoration during creative workshops to bring hope to the heart of Cluj-Napoca through their prayer and presence.

The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Bartek, a newly ordained Polish Piarist priest, who also gave his first priestly blessing to the participants. This was a very special gift of the day.

We are increasingly experiencing that PYM is a community where, even though we speak different languages, we are united by the very same Calasanctian spirit.
